Etsy import

If your catalog already lives on Etsy, don't retype it. MakerEventsOS connects to your Etsy
shop (one-click authorization — no developer settings) and brings your listings in.

Importing your catalog

Settings → Etsy → Import pulls in your listings:

• Titles, descriptions, prices, and quantities
• Photos and listing videos — media is copied into your own MakerEventsOS storage, so your

product pages don't depend on Etsy's servers

• Variations (size, color…) become proper variants with their own prices and stock
• Draft listings import too, so works-in-progress carry over

Imported products join the same single catalog your booth, website, and Square use.

Exporting to Etsy — drafts only, on purpose

You can push products from MakerEventsOS to Etsy as draft listings. They never publish
automatically — you review each draft in Etsy and hit publish yourself. Your Etsy shop is your
storefront on their platform; nothing should appear on it that you didn't approve.

Post-show quantity push

After a weekend of booth sales, your Etsy quantities are wrong. The quantity push updates
your Etsy listings to match your real stock — you trigger it, review what will change, and
confirm. One tap instead of editing twenty listings by hand on Sunday night.

What we deliberately don't do

There is no continuous background sync with Etsy. No surprise stock changes, no automatic
publishing, no two-way real-time anything. Every Etsy write is something you initiated and can
see. (Deep multichannel sync engines are their own product category — and their failure mode is
your Etsy shop being wrong in ways you didn't know about.)

Troubleshooting

• Import missed a listing? Check it isn't in a state Etsy's API doesn't expose (expired

listings need renewing first).

• Variation didn't map cleanly? Etsy allows variation structures that don't translate

one-to-one; the import keeps the price/quantity truth and flags what it simplified.
